PROGRAMS & SERVICES

Community Integration Program:
The Community Integration Program (CIP) in Gardena is a way to ensure that all people have access to the full spectrum of social, educational, and professional opportunities. These opportunities are embedded within the existing community and not only promote the wellbeing of individuals but also increase the overall health of the entire community. Community integration involves ensuring that each person with a disability can pursue their interests, desires, and goals. This includes control over their own day and which activities they pursue. It also means that each person can choose to receive services in the most integrated setting appropriate to their needs.

Adult Development Center:
The Adult Development Center in Hermosa is a community-based program that helps adults with developmental disabilities learn skills that are necessary for self-care, community integration and self-advocacy. These programs often focus on basic life skills, such as grooming, mobility, safety, academics, and personal identification. They may also include special education, motor development, pre-vocational training, and recreation.
The scheduled activities will take place at the Hermosa Beach Community Center or in the community with several groups and local businesses.
